If you like to color, Stampin' Up!'s Paisley Petals is the stamp set for you! Here's a Birthday Card made by first stamping the image and then coloring it in.
This is a fun birthday card to make, because you get to play with Designer Series Paper, Punches, Ribbon, Brads, Stamps and of course with your Watercolor Pencils.
Paper Sizes:
Marina Mist Card Stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
Not Quite Navy Card Stock 3-3/4" x 5"
Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
Whisper White Card Stock 3" x 4-1/4"
On the Whisper White, stamp the large paisley flower from the Paisley Petals stamp set in Basic Black Ink and with your Watercolor Pencils color it in. If you want to use your Markers, stamp the paisley flower in Stazon Black Ink.
Adhere the Whisper White layer on to the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.
Wrap a 5" piece of 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon around the two layers and secure each wrapped end with a Glue Dot.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White stamp, "Happy Birthday Wishes" from the Petite Pairs stamp set in Not Quite Navy Ink and punch it out with the Large Oval Punch.
Punch a Scallop Oval out of Not Quite Navy card stock and adhere it behind the Whisper White Oval.
Place the layered ovals over the middle of the Pumpkin Pie Ribbon and add two Pumpkin Pie Brads to either side.
Adhere the Not Quite Navy card stock behind the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper and then place all the layers on the Marina Mist card base.
You can change the look of the card by changing the colors you use. Below is a card done by Diane. I love how she chose to color in the paisley leaves, blue!
Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you next time!
