Hi Lakeside Stamper Friends!
Here's one last Valentine's Day Idea. You can even do these tonight in time for tomorrow.
Step 1:
Draw a heart shape and divide in into 1-inch squares or other random shapes. I started at the top center, and using a ruler, I drew two diagonal lines on each side. I then measured 1-inch from each line and drew another line. You really can divide the heart up in any way you'd like.
STEP 2: From Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, I punched eight, 1-inch squares. Using my template as a guide, I adhered the 1-inch squares right over my drawing to use as a base. If you don't want to hand draw each heart, copy the original for multiple hearts or future use.
Step 3:
For the last step, I carefully cut around the outer edge of the heart. For a fast and fun project I'm happy with the result.
Remember, you can use any color combination. Choose shades of Whisper White and Blushing Bride for a wedding card or pastels or brights for baby cards. Change the size of the heart, string into a garland and personalize for special occasions.
For all your stamping and paper-crafting needs email me your order and remember, "It's Sale-A-Bration!"
Thanks for stopping by and paper-crafting with me!
Stampin' Hugs,
Good Morning Lakeside Stamper Friends!
Here is a simple Victorian Valentine's Day Cone I designed for my class.
Since it's close to Valentine's Day I made this cone out of Real Red Card Stock with the help of my favorite paper-crafting companion, The Big Shot and the Petal Cone Die featured in Stampin' Up!'s new Occasions Mini Catalog. I took each cone, placed it in the Elegant Embossing Folder and ran it through my Big Shot.I have many other designs for this die and will share them with you soon.
At any rate, instead of folding the flaps of the Petal Cone down I kept them up. To decorate them, I punched two 2-3/8" Scallop Circles, paper pierced around the edge with my Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack and cut the circles in half. I then stamped the largest circle image from the Circle Circus Stamp Set in Regal Rose Ink on three of the half circles, one for each side and one for the back.
I left the front scallop circle plain, because I wanted to feature the new Stampin' Up! Vintage Flowers on it. On a piece of Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the Be My Valentine heart in Regal Rose Ink
Using Whisper White Organza Ribbon,
I made a handle and anchored it behind each side scallop.
On top I made a pretty bow and adhered everything as shown.
If you would like any of the product used in this project simply place your cursor over the item in the post, click and order. What could be easier???
Until next time, dream bigger and create more!
Thanks for stopping by.
Stampin' Hugs,
Hello there Lakeside Stamper Friends!
As I write this we are, yet again, getting slammed with another snow-storm. Will the snow ever stop? As a result of the snow, I had to cancel my Valentine's Day Class and since I have all my other classes planned already, I've decided to do my posts on the projects for the cancelled class on my blog. This way, all of you hoping to attend the class can stay at home and make them while the snow falls.
Although, I love the way this victorian hand came out, I would not have embossed the hand with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder on the Blushing Bride Card Stock. I used the Blushing Bride to resemble skin tone and now it looks weird to me. When I make the next one I'll use only the Blushing Bride Card Stock without embossing the hand part or I'll use another card stock color to look like a glove. Get it??
I began by drawing a simple hand shape. An easy way to do this is trace off a hand onto a piece of cardboard, cut it out, making sure you cut in between the fingers. Make sure you also extend the wrist a bit to accmoidate the red ruffle.
Once I had my hand template I traced it onto Blushing Bride Card Stock, cut it out and ran it through my Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
I then punched a large Scallop Circle out of eal Red Card Stock, ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and cut it in half. I then adhered it to the hand at the wrist and trimmed the sides with Paper Snipes.
On a piece od Whisper White Card Stock I stamped the Be My Valentine Heart in Real Red Ink and cut it out leaving a bit of white edge around the heart. On one of the flowers on the heart, I added a Basic Rhinestone.
Along the wrist, I did some rouching or pleating with White Organza Ribbon. There are several ways to "Rouch Ribbon." For this project I simply laid a strip of Sticky Tape and folded the ribbon back in loops along the tape. I placed a glue dot on each fold to hold them down. I ran one end of ribbon around the back of the wrist and knotted it. On the top of the knot I glued a Marina Mist Designer Button with a Glue Dot.
I placed and adhered the heart between the thumb and index finger, On the ring finger I poked a Flower Brad through and on top of the flower Brad I placed a Basic Rhinestone.
I think this "Victorian Hand" could be made in many different colors such as Pretty-In-Pink, Concord Grape, Very Vanilla and Real Red for the hand. Switch up the colors for the scallop circle, heart, and ring as well. Just have fun with this. Send Me what you make and I'll post it on my blog. Of corse it has to be made with Stampin' Up! Products.

I'm holding a card -making and craft workshop for children. Years ago when I had a shop my children workshops were always filled. It was during those times the shop came alive with spirit, laughter and creative imaginations. Hello Lakeside Stamper Friends!
I probably should apologize in the lack of posts these days, but, I want you to know I'm very, very busy behind the scene designing new projects, re-arranging my blog, writing a monthly newsletter, classes, workshops, filling card orders and planning my "Inkling Paper-Crafting Camp" for kids. I'm also working on templates for you to simply download and print right from your printer. Some of the more elaborate ones, I'll be selling. So, between the flu and snow storms there's much going on in my tiny stamping room.
Today, I want to share with you a round Valentine's Day Card I made. I wanted to do something other then a rectangular card. You could say I'm trying to work, "outside the box!"
Here's what to do:
Start with an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Score and fold it in half at 5-1/2".
With your Stampin' Up! Circle Scissors Plus cut a 5" circle taking care not to cut off the folded edge.
Emboss the top of the card with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and Big Shot.
Along the edges with a Sponge Dauber, sponge Pretty-In-Pink Ink. I sponged after I embossed, so, some of the polka dots would appear pink. If you want only the edge pink, sponge the edge before you emboss.
With a piece of Real Red Card Stock cut a Scallop Circle with the Big Shot. In each scallop punch a small hole.
Then emboss the Real Red scallop circle with embossing folder of choice.
Choose a Designer Series Paper you like and punch two butterflies with the Butterfly Punch and one from the Beautiful Butterflies Die. Lay the butterflies on each other and glue along the centers and put together. On the center of the top butterfly glue beads or Basic Rhinestones or Pearls.
Take a Real Red Marker and on the Be My Valentine Stamp ink up the "Be My Valentine" text and banner part of the stamp. Huff and stamp it on a scrap piece of Whisper White. Cut the banner out.
Adhere the layers together as shown and along the folded edge, knot a piece of 1/4" Pretty-in-Pink Grosgrain ribbon and with Glue Dots run it along the edge.
Place either Basic Pearls or Rhinestones around the circle.
Now you're "Circle of Love" Valentine's Day Card is finished. If you would like any of the materials used in this project order them before it's too late for Valentine's Day. After all, who wouldn't love to receive a hand-made card from you????
Stampin' & Paper-Craftin' Hugs,
This is the final Valentine's Day Card. For the saying on this card I stamped "Heartfelt Thanks" from the Sweetheart Stamp Set, because I needed a thank you card. In the class we stamped "Love" from the Wonderful Words Stamp Set (retired). Both were embossed with White Embossing Powder.
Because I love the Two-Step Bird Punch and the Scalloped Heart to Heart Embosslit so much I decided to make another card using them.
For this card I cut pieces of:
Real Red Card Stock (10" x &" and scored it at 5") and
two (3" x 3") squares
Blush Blossom Card Stock (4-1/2" x ^-1/2"),
Regal Rose Card Stock (3" x 3")
I punched the Two-Step Bird out of Real Red Card Stock and with The Big Shot and the Scalloped Heart to Heart Embosslit Die I cut two hearts from Regal Rose Card Stock and one from Real Red Card Stock. I used 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon and Hodgepodge Hardware to complete the card with the perfect touches.
I hope you've enjoyed these projects. Come back next week for a sneak peek into the garden class coming soon in March.
Thanks for visiting!
HUGS & stamps,
STAMP SET: Sweetheart Wood Mount #120415, Clear Mount #120780
INK: Versa Mark #102293
PAPER: (All Card Stock) Real Red #102482, Blush Blossom #103318 & Regal Rose #105130
FRILLIES: 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon #109056, Silver Hodgepodge Hardware #111325, White Embossing Powder #109132
TOOLS: Heat Tool #100005, Paper Piercer #116631, Mat Pack #105826, Two-Step Bird Punch #117191, The Big Shot #113439, Scalloped Heart to Heart Embosslit Die #117332
This is a card I made for a swap. I also included it in the Valentine's Day Class. For this card I wanted to play around with the new Stampin' Up! Two-Step Bird Punch, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.
Here's What I did:
1. I cut pieces of:
Real Red Card Stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored it at 4-1/4")
Regal Rose Card Stock ( 5" x 3-3/4")
Blush Blossom Card Stock (4-3/4" x 3-1/2")
2. I punched two birds with the Two-Step Bird Punch. This punch id fundamentally! The storage is so very nice because of the new punch design. I found the punch easy to use and because the punch is two-step the variations you can achieve are endless.
3. After I punched the birds out I placed the wings inside the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die to add texture to each wing. If you do this you need to remember to turn one wing around so the texture is facing up on the wing when you assemble your card.
4. I then ran the piece of Blush Blossom Card Stock through The Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions Folder. Love, Love, Love this folder!!!!
5. Next, I cut the heart using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die and The Big Shot which I might add, cut and embossed the heart beautifully as you can see from the picture.
6. I cut a 1-1/4" piece of 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, folded in half along the long edge, adhered it and attached to the back of the heart.
7. The card was then layered together as shown. For the birds' wings and heart I used Dimensionals to pop them. I also added a red rhinestone to the heart.
Thanks for stopping by and look for one more Valentine's Day Card to follow.
HUGS & stamps,
Who wouldn't love to receive this for Valentine's Day? This was a fun card to make and will be just as much fun to give. Sorry the colors are a little off.
Here's the recipe:
STAMP SET: Something Sweet

PAPER: Real Red Card Stock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4")
