This Punch Santa Pillow Box was offered and made at my Extravaganza Holiday Workshop. The Santa decoration was made from punches and can easily become an ornament by simply adding a Baker's Twine or 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon hanger. I saw this Santa on the web and changed him up a bit by using Stampin' Up!'s Glitter Papers, adding hair curls, cheeks and Embossing his beard. You'll want to make lots of these to use as holiday table favors, for gift cards or that perfect little piece of jewelry, such as a pair of earrings, necklace or bracelet.
For the Punch Santa you'll need to punch the following: (Note, my photo shows two circles in Real Red. Initially I wanted Santa to have a red nose, but changed my mind. After all it is a woman's prerogative!)
HAT:
1 Ornament Punch in Red Glimmer Paper
1 Extra-Large Oval Punch in Silver Glimmer Paper
1 Red Pom-Pom
SANTA'S FACE:
1 Large Oval Punch in Blushing Bride
1 Middle Circle from the Owl Builder Punch in Blushing Bride (Nose)
2 Middle Circle from the Owl Builder Punch in Basic Black (Eyes)
2 1/2" Circles in Rose Red Card Stock (Cheeks)
SANTA'S BEARD:
2 Wings from the Bird Builder Punch in Whisper White (Mustache)
1 Ornament Punch out in Whisper White
Small strips of Whisper White (Curly Hair Strands)
Run the mustache parts and beard through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for texture.
Glue all the parts together with Tombow All-Purpose Glue. Use the photo above as a guide.
For Santa's Pom-Pom use a Glue Dot to adhere it to the hat.
FOR THE BOX:
Cut a Garden Green Pillow Box, or similar sized box, with the Big Shot.
Once cut, run the Garden Green Pillow Box through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder or one of your choice.
Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon to wrap around your box. Cut enough so ribbon overlaps a bit. Wait to wrap the box with the ribbon, until your box is filled.
Attach Santa to the ribbon with Dimensionals.
