To mask an image, an identical image is stamped on scrap paper, cut and placed over your original stamped image. When other images are stamped on top of your original image, it is protected by the mask.
Here's how to make a mask:
Stamp your original image onto your project:
Stamp another image on a scrap piece of paper. Thin paper works best.
Cut out scrap image as close as possible to the outline. I cut on the outline or just to the inside. Then with removable adhesive like dotto, layer the scrap image directly over your original image. Below the scrap image is a little off just to show you what I mean.
Stamp an image over your original image so it overlaps the mask on on all sides.
Remove the mask to view the protected original image.
I hope this helps and that you have fun trying this technique. As, ever thanks for stopping by.
